Did the 2 door lwb landrovers (series 1,2,or 3) come with sidways bench seats like the toyota troopies? i cant find any if not then ill have to get a cruiser

Not normally as standard - was an option though. Many military LWBs diod have them though. Seats for LWBs often come up on ebay.

Many did.

Your best bet is either the mil ones (as col said), or county rear seats (1984-1990 defender-looking landies). They came standard with an improved version of the series side facing seats - and most people take them out.

yeh i want a 2 door hardtop with troopy seats

i have seen a few military ones but there all soft tops and i would need the seats to be legal would that be much drama

The LWB mil and civvy seats are the same.

As mentioned, Mil and Civvie seats (and belts where fitted) are the same, right up until 1990. They are just lap belts.

ok thanks but wat does mil and civvy mean? is it military and civilian coz i got no idea bout landrovers never had one, and how many people can u get in a 2 door legally and does any one no of any for sale hardtop or softtop lwb or should i just get a landcruiser troopy?

yeh i no id rather a landy over a cruiser but they seem harder to find in a troopy style with the sideways rear seats and yeh if the countrys are the 4door version im not keen im after a 2 door

There were a small number of Hardtop (what you would call troopy style) landies sold in OZ from 1984-1998ish. Pre 1984 they were quite common but leaf sprung. A Series 3 stage 1 V8 may fit the bill - made from 1981-1983/4. Leaf sprung but the same drivetrain as a rangerover/110.

Later coilsprung hardtops are around, you just have to look.

A hardtop usually seats 11. 3 across the front, and 4 along each side in the back. The side facing seats fit 2 people each, but you need to be small or good friends.

A 110 county seats 9 or 10, depending on if it has 2 or 3 seats across the front. The seats in a county are more comfortable than the side facing seats in a hardtop, and access is much easier with the extra doors. Not sure what you have against them?

yeh thanks and i dont care if its leaf or coil and i got nothing against the 4 doors just like the 2 doors for some reason

OK - then look for a Series 3 Stage 1 hardtop. They came with either a 3.5V8 or a 3.9L ISUZU diesel. 11-seat (or easily converted). No PAS or AC, but otherwise well built and well equipped. A V8 in good nick is 2-4k, a diesel maybe 3-6k

I forgot to mention that you can change a wagon to a hardtop just by swapping the rear body over without any cutting or welding.
