just joined the forum, and i'm chasing some info on removing the torque rod from my 83 lux. what efffect will this have on handling, etc. want to remove so i can get some more flex and want to fit crossover steering also. TIA

Don`t remove the rod untill you have cross over steering because with the standard push pull steering when you brake the diff rotates which inturn makes the steering turn and the lux will turn hard when braking hard. Have heard of some people getting away with it but I wouldn`t be trying it.
Once you have cross over steering it is safe to remove the trac bar, you have to remove it anyway as the rod is in the way.
