winch problem need help

i have a magnum 9k winch and the cable doesnt want to come out but it goes in fine. probably something simple but not sure where to start.
solenoids??
try reversing the two wires on the motor that are side by side. after you reverse the wires and try run it, it should winch in when you move the hand control to out and vice versa.
if it winches out but not in after you have reversed the wires, the out circuit in you solenoids or control circuit is crook.
