hey bud. i have been running 15x10s in my 35x12.5 treps for a cupla years now. my tyres last longer than my friends who run 8s but i go thru wheel bearings more often though. ( my - offset is pretty big though). and im pretty sure my 10s are illegal.
8s wont sit as flat on the road as mine do with 10s. and you beads will pop less with 8s. hope this helps
cheers ray

i found 8 help the bead better when aired down, and only lost a bead once
I found that 10's lost the bead a number of time, such as once of twice a trip..
normally aired down to 10-12psi.

10inch rims are the worst. go 8's i think youll find you wont fit in wheel ruts (gq/gu) and you'll pop beads. or youll be popping the beads to get the mud and crap out of them after every trip trust me go the 8's WAYYYYYY better!

i totally disagree, i ran 35x11.5 pedes on 8 inch rims and popped the beads a few times, since running the same tyres on ten inch rims i havnt had a problem.......and they look heaps tougher

thus why I asked what actual brand of tyre. Until then everyone is just pissing into the wind.
and they look heaps tougher
cause looks are all important.

im going back to 8's, sick of popping beads and bead leaks, i am currently running 10 psi in my rear right as it leaks down to that and wont hold pressure so it can get farked.
if you are running wider tyres, 13.5s or wider you will need 10s
all info has been great...

Food for thought:
I use to run 33x12.5x15 TSL Swampers on a 15x8 rim but they specified they should be run on a 15x10! Never had tyre come off the bead after running two sets, also running as low as 10psi no locks (on a GQ wagon) Now I have 36x12.5x15 TSL Swampers and they recommend a 15x8????? Haven't had much of a play on them yet but haven't popped a tyre off yet, but run around 15PSI and they bag nicely

I've got 37 MTR's on 10's and had 35 MTR's on the same rims after they were on 8's and the 10's work better with them. In saying that, it will all depend on the tyre you are running as some will be better on 8" rims. You should also consider the wider track of the 10's will be less than legal and engineers won't pass them.

use wat rim they recommend i have never popped a beed on 10's. and i like the look of 10's aswell each to there own.... but if u go 10's then make sure ur off set is not tooo big cause they will stick out past the guards...

if you are that worried about popping beads, just get beadlocks, problem solved

not a big fan of beadlocks never had on my last 4wd 8" surf. 35's 15x8 . 10-15psi no probs and it wasnt light put bead locks , sliced to new tyres on simple terrain there was no give in the tyre, therfor streched the tyre, and the smallest rock or stick sliced through like a blade... sold them the next weekend..
i have 15x8's already... lookling at cleaning up my 4wd redooing t5he suspention , bushes , cutting the guards rewireing stuff. getting some weight of her, just build a extream camper/bike trailer so lots of stuff will go on that. 15x10 look so much better, got given 5x15x10 rims same style as my 15x8..... thats why im asking.....
Wat to do????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
