Need more rear travel in a sixty series!
I have a sixty series (as pictured) i have two inch extended shackles and 2" lift springs, the rear are a heavy duty towing spring set ( the springs are wot came with the car) and i was wondering some cost effective ways of getting more rear travel? the front travels awesome!
p.s i dont want to remove springs from the pack as i will lose height and i have a 130 litre second diesel tank and a 210 litre main tank so theres a lot of weight, so i need the heavy springs

Cant do too much if you dont want to change rear springs. 60 series get good travel front and rear. Check your shocks arent restricting travel. Disconnect them on 1 side and cross it up so that side tucks. Then get in there with a tape measure and meassure the eyelets centre to centre - then buy slightly shorter shocks than that.

but yeah if you dont want to soften the rear up it probably wont change much.
how is the shackle angle?

If anything i would buy longer shocks, shorter shocks won't help at all, tucking more than pictured is not the goal unless you want to hack guards and let your tyres eat the firewall etc. It is droop that is lacking which means you need longer shocks and/or a softer leaf pack.
Removing leaves doesn't always mean losing height.
Heavy duty spring packs won't droop "decently", so you need to change them out or play with the leaves or be happy with it how it is.
Leaf springs dont work both ways like coils, you can't have load carrying capacity and good flex but you can have a happy medium, unless you use airbags to help carry the weight when its on the car and remove them when off road.

flex it up and take some pics of the wheel you want to droop lower. then again with shock removed.
you might also be able to open up your srping retainers to help droop.

having read your other thread dont bother trying to sort your suspension unitl you chop the back end off as your needs and limitations will change when you do that.

How are the springs 'held' together? That is, are the clamps around the leaves tight, or do they have a gap at the top to allow them to 'open up' during droop..?
Are the extended shackles greasable? If they arent they may be binding, restricting movement.
Are the sway bar/s still on? Some come with front and rear. You def do not need the rear, and depending how you drive you can also remove the front one. (Mine didnt have a rear one for the 14 years I had it)
If the 60 barely moves when loaded with fuel/etc, you might want to look at removing one or two of the smaller leaves.
And as others have said, check your shock. Jack it up or use a ramp to compare travel with and without the shocks.

how often do you really need to carry 340l of fuel
what else do you need heavy springs for? do you do a lot of towing? if not consider changing your spring pack and learn to call in to the server more often and only fill your small tank unless you go on long trips.
I have an 80litre tank and fill it roughly weekly, 340litres would last me a month
