My bottom sill doors and rear end of the lwb patrol (mq) is collecting water are there factory drainage points or do i need to drill holes

I already get water coming up from the sill to inside the car due to the door sill being on the outside how do i stop this happening (will drilling holes make this wores), are there sposed to be plugs in the tops of the sills

on the MQ's and GQ's doors for that matter there are small drainage holes, these often fill up with dirt and shit and become clogged, this will cause it to trap watter, i had 3 doors with a good couple of litres in each just the other week, i used some wire and slid it up the holes which cleared em out,

to make sure they are clean take interior trim off and flush out with the hose.

this seems to be the only problem areas I have found on M's for rust. Check inside the doors too as they have drain holes. Also behind the seat belt mounts/trim. This area was the worst on my MQ because the upper belt area lets in dust/water and it does not drain nearly as well.

The doors have 2 groups of 6 or 7 drain holes in them, one group is about 5" from the front edge and the other group is about 5" from the rear edge. The holes are about 5/16 in diameter, some ppl intentially block these holes up for some stupid reason and thats where the problems start.

The sills have 2 drainage points which are small folds in the inner sill panel near the cab/chassis mounts, A small piece of wire poked into the holes should unblock them.

The rear 1/4 has 1 drainage point and is simmilar in style to the sill ones, again a piece of wire should unblock it.

Once all the drainage holes are unblocked, place a piece of electrical tape over all the holes and apply fishoil ( fisholene ) to the internal cavaties.... once it dries remove the tape and ya done !
