Jabber Power Up

Yes it is possible with the 3.0 V6 :D
Just had it serviced and dyno tuned today with very good results.
After the extractors and 2.25" system it was reading 76Kw @ 5100rpm at the rear wheels.
After tinkering with the TPS & ignition timing this rose to 90Kw @ 5100rpm and was nudging 93Kw @ 5500rpm the Jabber was almost bouncing off the dyno at this point so we didn't go any higher.
More could be gained but it would have to be run on premium ULP.
I certainly noticed it on road, completely different car now, throttle response and mid range power are GREATLY improved :D
These dyno readings were with the 34" JT2's which undoubtedly robbed some power. I wish I had of dynoed it before the extractors/exhaust because they definitely made an improvement.
Next time I'll get it dynoed with the 33"s on to see the difference.
Very happy with the power increase.

What did it cost you to get it dyno'd Frank?

Would be interesting to know what mine is pulling now with all the mods.

I don't know what the ignition advance is he already set it before I got there, I only saw the final dyno run.

5 Star Exhaust & Brakes 9799 3400 in Hampton Park did the exhaust total cost was $1270 inc GST speak to Joe and say your a mate of mine and you will cop a tirade of abuse about muddy 4x4's :D
Remember the Genie headers are $600 the new cat was $270 so for the exhaust, muffler, head stud replacements & labor was $400. It's definitely much easier on body lifted vehicles. Daalders in Dandenong refused to fit them based on prior nightmare jobs.

Hi-Tech tune in Dandenong (9792 3222 speak to Greg) did the dyno they charge $110/hr for the dyno and that's all it cost me plus the service cost about $200.

i put a 2.5 inch exhaust on my triton (from cat back) in december 2002.
It definately made a difference. it seems to have more power through the rev range, will rev more freely and sounds the guts as well..
