Tough dog bigbore shocks problem

front shock has come loose an cant seem to tighten it. Tried with ratchet on top an bottom but didnt do anything.
Prob something simple, any ideas guys.
OK so seems shock has a leek, can hear a hissing noise on down presure, bitch as is now out of warranty. Can this be fixed or do i need to start saving

do they have a flattened end on the end of the threaded section? try using a shifter or vise grips on this flattened end and turn the nut wih a ring spanner. or else rattle gun if you can hold the tube part of the shock to stop it spinning

the top and bottom are not directly connected mate.
When tightening the bottom nut or top nut you must hold the shock body so whole whole shock dosnt just spin

vice grip or wrench an a ring spanner done the trick, cheers, holding shock body doesnt.

depends on what type of shockie but you can use a small rachet style strap and wrap itself over itself and then hook it of to your bull bar so as you tighten it up or loosen depending on what your doing the strap can fight against itself and get tighter and tigher rather than trying to stop the shock from spinning in your hands

I took my old ones off using a plumbers wrench around the shock body, which was wedged against chassis and just undid nut on top and bottom.
Was a fiddly process though

throw them away and get some new shocks. once they leak it over. Very Typical of Tough Dogs really.

tough dogs are terrible, they always bend and leak
