ARB air locker not locking

My bro bought a Mav, which has an ARB air locker in the back. The previous owner ripped the switches, pump and wiring out. He bought an ARB pump (the small $200 one recommended for the job), but it doesn't seem to have enough pressure to engage the locker. Set the air compressor in the shed to about 90-100psi (I think, can't remember) and use that and it locks up, but the ARB pump won't lock it up?

Anyone know why this could be happening?

Have you contacted ARB yet :?:
More info on solinoids and such will help.

make sure that you have your fittings on the solonoids the rite way around no air might not be coming out.

Tried it with no solenoids and still no go. Nah didn't contact ARB, didn't even think of that to be honest haha. :P

If you connect air to it can you hear air coming out of the diff breather??
If so then perhaps the Oring is stuffed. Matbe as simple as a blocked air line.

Does the small ARB pump run up to pressure and stop.
Does it run again after operating the locker?

x2

maybe your shed compressor has enough flow to lock it up despite a leak whilst the little compressor has enough pressure but cant keep up with the leak.

if the little compressor keeps running after the initial pressure build up, or if you can hear air comming out your diff breather then its officially an air leaker and time to rip out the center.

Got it working 2day. Used an old air compressor tank we had, chucked some fittings on it, the ARB pump, a tap, psi gauge, and an air release valve. Had to run a hose from the compressor in the shed to fill it up coz the arb pump took bloody ages lol.

But yeah went for a spin through heaps of mud/clay, and towed a mate through it behind in his VK Commo. On the way back the air ran out so the locker unlocked and it barely got back towing the car behind lol. Can't believe how much difference the locker makes!
