so, now i've got the turbo on, i'm starting to get a bit warmer than i want.
here's the deal:
AXT turbo (standard kit with 3" exhaust)
standard radiator just cleaned out (inside and out)
new thermostat
new clutch fan
not using any water
getting to 3/4 and beyond when on boost for about 2 minutes
was getting ever so slightly warmer than normal pre-turbo but just below half. when i first had the car it never got past 1/4 and now it's getting over 3/4...
what to do?

How was your car setup ?? On a dyno??
Its gettin hot when boosting <<-- that sounds like your issue too much fuel, over heating it.

can you give anymore detail then that. unless climbing a mountain range i'm struggling to come up with any other time you'd be one boost for that long.
mine will climb to 3/4 while driving up one of the ranges here. Takes about 3 mins at 80km/h in 4th gear. thats at about 10psi of boost.
it'll sit on 3psi on flat road at 100km/h and get no hotter then 0psi at 60km/h
It only makes sence that climbing a hill will need more power. Making more power will make more heat.

can you borrow a pyro gauge from someone? Rule out excessive EGT, then start looking elswhere.

yeah, only up a big hill. there's a massive hill coming out of noojee heading south and that's where it's worst but i also did it yesterday up a moderate hill near my house for about 2 mins.
might have to pyro it again...
over heating here as well

HAd the standard radiator and ditched it for a 3 core copper one. Also cut a hole in teh bonnet and put a vent over turbo. it does the same. AHs been dy no'd Am thinking may have to fit an inter cooler. On boost for a few minutes working hard Pyro hit 500deg. Tempwill go up buck takes 5 min or so.
