No-one can answer your question unless you supply more data.
The gearbox code as originally fitted is displayed on the compliance plate on the firewall.

Hi Bitsamissin and Cameron....

Cameron....Suprised that you were are also :) .... Its a MK2 i think,the Mechanic say from a 2.5TD ;)

Bitsamissin....i just discover it was machined on the top of bellhousing, can be seen through the bottom of the firewall....but don't know good or bad it was a V5M21

Are this gearbox good :?:

Thanks for the help Guys ;)

by the sounds of it you want to change your current gearbox to a V6 one? (V5MT1) as opposed to the 2.5 td (KM145)

is this correct?

oh and of course im on here wilson, listening to the pommy boys on pocuk talking about there 4.5" body lifts reduces me to nervous breakdowns

Yes the V5M21 is the later upgraded version of the KM145 5sp.
I'm pretty sure the difference is that the V5M21 is all alloy and the KM145 is all steel.
They are both one piece gearboxes (no seperate removable bellhousing).
These boxes were found behind later model Gen 2 2.6 and some 2.5TDI's.
Later model Gen 2 2.5TDI's did have the V5MT1 which were the same as the 3.0V6 box but these have a seperate bellhousing (two piece gearbox) so obviously there were two different bellhousings to suit the different motors.
If you can find a V5MT1 that was used behind a 2.5TDI then that would be the better/stronger box (compared to a V5M21 which is basically a 4 cylinder box).

Yes it's common knowledge that with the V5M21 as soon as you engage low range and let the clutch out to move forward they instantaneously explode !!!!!!
Just kidding there.........................
If it's in reasonable condition and you run good oil it will be fine.

I will try to realease the clutch in 4L at 2500 Rpm and see if it withstand,if not i would say good bye to it

Change the gearbox oil at every 20000Km are fine
