Hi just need some advice/ help....just got a minor prob with clutch...currently i have a 90 model luxy got a baby v8 in her recently put new clutch in and having troubles that when i drive normally it goes into gear great and drives perfect but when i have a play with the boys in the bush and she gets a bit of a work out i find it really hard to change gears ? in or out of gears that is... so far i have ruled out the transfer case ,cause its still the same in 2 wheel mode .....then i get out just give her a bit of adjustment under neath (where the fork lever is) shes all good again? BUT when she cools down a bit it ,(the next day) it seems the clutch is slipping? so there i go again adjust here and there and shes back to norm and all good again?...

have spoken to a few mech to get some opinions and have got answers from the clutch is f@#$ed ? ( new clutch kit 2 months old) to yer just keep some wd40 handy and spray in behind the dust cover in the clutch area .....and to replace the clutch fliud?/ extend the line so it holds more fluid?.......

ps only plays up when doing hard work 4x4 drives all day eveyday fine otherwise??????

any help / light to a keen 4x4er would be awesome........thanxs....

pss she already had the conversion when i bought her and she was fine i just bought a newer (worked engine and just thought well ive got the engine out may as well put a new clutch as well :)....:(

psss anyone else ever come across these symtoms?

Could the exhaust be too close to the clutch slave and be boiling the fluid?

There was a similar suggestion in the nissan section the other day. The turbo was cooking the fluid, and it was making the clutch stick.

hi its a brand new h/duty clutch bought from a WELL known local supplier ...the motor is a 253 v8 ..yesterday checked the lines and made sure it wasnt to close to the extracters ...got a mobile mech in and he (did) some adjustments ,put some grease in the bearings and put new clutch fluids in (hoping it was the fluid as it didn't look to clean).....everything seems fine but again i will need to take it for a good run and fine out if it changes when it gets hot (cross fingers)....having said that i dont need excuses to have a play :).......
