hey guys

Im thinking of upgrading the turbo on my 85 bundera from a ct20 to a ct26, just wanted to know if anyone on here has done it and if so was it hard and wat did it involve, Im also worried about blowing the old girl up.... my bundy has about 320tho km but seams to run well, how hardy is the 2l-t will it be able to handle the extra boost ? any advice would be much appreciated!

cheers

No expert on this so this is just a personal opinion but I would have thought that a turbo that is designed for a 4.2 would be a bit to laggy on a 2 liter.

Also consider the CT12b off a 1KZ.

They seem to keep a 3.0L motor happy and come on song at around 1400rpm (on my truck at least)

1400rpm i would of thought that would be abit late in the rev range ferrit
or do you mean full boost

the CT26 will be way to big, your indirect injection 2LT will not have enough exhaust gasses at lower rpm's to drive the CT26, a CT26 wont even run right on a 2H 4.0 litre indirect injection which has much more exhaust than a 2LT and 2H ct26 makes 7-8 psi at 2400rpm which is way too late. Like wot the other fella said look at a CT12B or even better yet a garret GT25 if you have a bit of dosh, plenty of boost and ball bearing turbo instead of bush bearing which means less lag! :)
