The carpet in my GU is pretty awful after i flooded it the other day in a mudhole. Anyone fitted one of these in a GU. I'm just interested how well it fitted and what you thought of it.

Get some marine carpet, at least then you don't have to worry about it getting wet.

patrol carpet is pretty sturdy.
take it out, pressure wash it, let it dry and reinstall, you will be amazed at how it comes up..

Steam cleaner cleaned mine up fine and dandy.
Hi pressure wash first, some carpet cleaner, and then steamed it.

The carpet is bullet proof its the underfelt thats the problem once its wet it will stink forever, I went throught the exercise a few years back and pressure washed the carpet came up like new, bought a couple of rolls of underfelt from an auto joint and placed that in front floor wells and against the firewall.

I washed my carpets a couple of weeks ago.....'accidentally' drove into this big crystal clear pool of water...I just had to take them out afterwards and dry them
Unfortunately I didn't have any carpet shampoo at the time.
