WHAT NEEDS TO BE DRILLED?

I fitted a Arb locker from a MQ rear to the front of my GU,
from the ARB web site I found that the difference between the h233 and the h233b is the crown wheel has a different bolt up pattern, the earlier MQ rear uses 10mm bolts at a 180mm diameter, where as the GQ/GU diffs use a 12mm bolt on a 176mm diameter, so all you need to do is bring the hole centers in 2mm and redrill to 12mm holes, I had a lockrite that this was done to ,fitted to the front of my GU,
I was able to pick up a new MQ air locker and machine the main case holes, in a mates milling machine. on this one I drilled new holes between the old ones and then used the later model top hat part,
cheers Brett,

Hi patrol man, when you say you did it to a lockrite did you mean you fitted a rear MQ lockrite to the front of a GU? Cheers Loz.

I use the COMPLETE MQ rear and made it bolt in to the front. I didn't use an MQ Locker in a GQ 3rd member.
MQ 3rd member into a GQ front.

the lockrite had been all ready set up when I got it, the holes had been enlarged and brought in to suit the GQ/GU ( for the crown wheel)
it was a MQ rear fitted to a GU/GQ front, just the center not the housing.

ya beat me to pics wicked. i did this on sunday. i had to drill out all the holes but 4 and had to drill new ones to suit. my old mq locker and 4.6 gears in low pinion mq rear housing are now bolted in to a front gq diff. thaks for your pics ben they helped me heaps. it does however mean your running reverse rotation but im running a gq front high pinion in the rear as well so im all reverse rotation.
