alternator upgrade

Post by fire60 »

I am in the process of doing the falcon alternator into a 92 vitara swb upgrade. I am using the 110 amp transplant.

Everything is going OK so far, and I am now up to the wiring part. I have noticed some info says to cut off the zook connection for the main wire (the nutted one) and run a new larger capacity one directly to the battery. The original Zook wire goes to a 60 amp fuseable link and then from there to the main loom?? Will the new wire directly to the battery need to go through a fuseable link? and what size should this be (I was thinking 120 amps?)

Any help on this would be appreciated

i would run a fusible link mate..
you dont want the wire to rub through and start to burn and possibly start a fire
