Jimny Lift Kit

Hey i was thinking of putting a suspension lift kit on my 06 jimny. So far my options are old man emu HD (30 - 40mm) or Tough Dog Suspension kit. The though dog has a 40, 60 and 80mm options. The legal limit is 50mm and just wondering which one is best to go with. If i were to choose the 60mm lift would it stuff up anything towards the car or make things wear any quicker. Does anyone here have any idea what suspension lift brand i should go for and how high?

P.s i would like to put an arb steel bullbar on in the future.

Cheers Marc

I'd go OME.

I'd lift a Jimny as little as possible - you'll be happier with the way it drives with less lift.

yeah apparently the tough dog 60mm lift puts a few things out of wack and it is suggested to change panhard something and castor things. Im leaning towards the HD OME to keep it legal. Does anyone know if a 225/70/15will rub once the lift goes in or does everone go for the 215/75/15's???

I went with 2" lovells springs and shocks and the ride has improved out of sight over the standard setup, It did need caster bushes fitted though so a total cost of $1000 with me doing the fitment of springs and shocks and a suspension place doing the bushes and alignment.

Another thing worth doing if you plan to go 50mm+ is a tail shaft spacer and extended brake lines. Im looking into it for mine and found http://www.snakeracing.com.au have good gear
