80 series (93) Missing sway bars?

I bought a 80 series recently for towing duties and general fun in the sun stuff and have been giving it a birthday with new bearings, front diff seals, rotors and pads etc and while i was under there i noticed the sway bars are missing. Is this a common thing for people to remove? (front and back). The front brackets are there but nothing at all in the rear.

I dont really do anything too hardcore off road but i will be replacing all the shocks and springs with maybe a 2-3" lift but how is no swaybars going to affect onroad handling, towing stability etc? Ive found a replacement rear setup but should i get a front one or not bother? Ill be towing 2500kg+ so stability is going to be important.

the front sway bars generally do most of the work, so yeah if you are going to replace the rear, do the front as well.
I would keep them on, particularly if you are towing and with lift, I dont think they limit flex enough to warrant removing them from a car that is regularly road driven
