wheres the oil pump?
the oil switch?
my oil pressure light wont turn of as well as the pressure being through the roof!
asked around a bit and was told these were the most likely culprits...
just need some help locating them?...

What engine is it??
on the TD42 it's on the driver side.
Most likely, the sender unit is stuffed!
Common problem. Go to get a new one from Nissan. easy fit just
unplug & unscrew old unit and re-fit new one!

iv done a little more research since then..
fairly sure its the pump...
had a scream coming from the front end after doing a head conversion... (cracked head)
shrugged it off as my belts slipping at first... but now...?
i guess the pump must of rusted slightly...
however did make it to work n back with out the motor seizing

then again if the pump was gone there'd be no oil pressure at all...
and the engine should have seized...
same if it was the sender...
must be this ?switch? you speak of...

I am looking at the oil sender, having just taken the rubber boot off, and there is nothing to put a spanner on. Does it just screw off by hand? If so, mine is stuck.
