Does anyone know numbers or seen a list.

Greg Smith says he's out. Aaron Carlton says he's in. That's about all I can contribute.

We had a great weekend - It was a again credit to Ray and his fantastic team. The checkpoints were a great deal of fun too. We thought we had the frozen sunny boys in the bag with 2 of us getting them down in 19 seconds only to hear of an 18 second team - Well done to who ever that team was.

We had to cut and run the last stage due to a lack of fuel. Rude's car only has a 40 litre petrol tank. We missed two find me's and a checkpoint but that was better than pushing the car home. Unfortunately we will be out of the running but hey we had a great time. Well done to all who finished.

As i was the one handing out the sunny boys I really thought you had it in the bag. There was an 18 sec effort that was legit  But others did take up to 13 min without lateral thinking involved. We had a blast as well!

So Dave - tell us about the undies on the outside thing .... Is this something we should be worried about?

By the way we voted you guys best checkpoint.

Bring it to Cliffy mate - it may just get an airing on one of the stages - if we can get the driver to be Cat woman

who one

Post by Hobzee »

Gees how about this ...?

In past years we had guys phoning up to the minute results and listings were going up on Outers almost live as presentations were happening. This year I drag this post out of page 2 and nothing!

I couldn't make it to presentation on Monday (4 days ago) - can someone put up some scores or placings please.

I thought it was a great event and the newer format will be appealing to a much wider audience and we should see more interest next year.

Hortra's away (back in a week) and has all the placings. Unless one of the other guys has them???

- but 1st was Car 14 - Aaron and the boys. They were 100 points clear of the field, also the only crew to 'fluke' that wreck near the hut and used for a projection off a later question.

The next few cars were close - late penalties hurt Car 25!!!!!

You guys won something - best doodle award or best circle work or something. Beaten by Eddie and Vera in the Sunnyboy Challenge

Glad you enjoyed it - i'd actually be interested in seeing / hearing the good and bad about the event - post or PM - we can only improve if we know what the faults are!

Thanks Mr Rugrat,

I wouldn't mess with the format too much more - that only unsettles things and I believe you are on to it now. Maybe just drop the Find Me's in the dark.

What I would suggest is better advertising and less reliance upon web forums - they seem to be less popular means of getting the word out. Also do press releases to all 4x4 mags, send letters to all 4x4 clubs, advertise in track watch, cross link with Navrun and other events, send a flier to 4WD shops and the "word of mouth" will get out there too.

What I really like about the new format is lots of activities and anyone can do it and do fairly well if they apply themselves. It's no longer a super-navigator event and I think this should bring bigger numbers.

I've already told people I'm back next year and recommending it to anyone interested.
