Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey all,

Just wanna see everyone's interior setups as I'm doing mine up and want some ideas, i would like to see a wood grain setup if anyone has got and also ones with gauge pods and what ever other awesome set ups are out there cheers.

I just threw up in my mouth a little (wood grain). Try sticking with a nice clean and neat factory look without all that extra bling crap hanging off everywhere. Get additional factory switches and relabel them for additional functions etc etc. Get gauges that can be fitted in behind factory openings or somewhere discrete. Now that's a classy interior fit out.

Not all that fake wood grain, fake carbon fibre, fake brushed ally etc etc, do you like it when the missus fakes it.

What are you actually looking to achieve.

what about fake checkerplate floormats? there all the rage atm and pretty cheap from riceobarn!

floor mats not really my thing, yeh i agree with you with the wood grain i wanna but water and oil gauges in and possibly a roof console maybe? have not seen many tho so not to sure how it looks

Thank god. Was scared you were talking about painting your dash and coating everything in ricer vomit.

If you dig around you will find there are no A pillar gauge pods for the 80 so the guys running a couple of gauges there have had to screw them directly into the pillar with gauge mounting cups. Not really a lot of room under the dash and not great for viewing and looks a bit tacky in my view. There are full overhead consoles from a couple of makers but they are generally set up for UHF's and radios. Not sure if you can get them as blanks for guages. Side mounting into them may not be good viewing.

Have a look on Marks Adaptors site they do a small console that sits above the sub gauge panel and spaces it down. Its the same width as the sub panel and is designed to house a DIN radio, however they also do a blank one for other things and you should easily get say 3 guages in there that would look neat and not to far out of your line of sight.

Hobsee is also seeing them on Ebay.

Otherwise you can put a single DIN radio in the dash and make up a nice cover plate to mount a couple of gauges in there also.
