Hello all,
just wondering whether the input flange from an 82 1lt transfer case
is interchangable with the input flange of a later model 1.3lt transfer case?
cheers

Yep it is .. best to get a new staked nut .. but mine have been off and on a few times now .. just use a bit of locktite on em .. They are also very f@#king tight, I normally run it down to my local tyre place and use thier rattle guns to get the nuts off and do em up again ..

If the flanges have been on there for a while they might be a tad difficult to get off. The ones on my original case took 10 mins each to get the flanges off (after the nuts were removed) and that was with a puller & rattle gun!!!

As above thery are all interchangeble but remember there is three different flange bolt patern sizes , 1 ltre smalest ,1.3 narrow track med ,1.3 wide track large. This is somthing to watch for when buying drive shafts ,I have been caught Brought a shaft that had a front large and rear med ,Chucked a fit when i needed to use it !!
