Cruiser ute 95 model

Post by Wozza244 »

Hi again, im buying a friends cruiser next week, it seems like a good thing, but its not turbo.
Has anyone wacked a turbo on this motor and roughly how much, im not doing it myself im taking it into a shop to be fitted.

Also, how much more would a good set of extractors do for the power, and what sort of power increase will the turbo give it?
Anyone got a graph or some figures?

Cheers!
Get out there!!

Mate had extractors on his ute and it did make a difference in power (and noise, straight through muffler and you could hear him coming a mile away), but still had no guts to go up hills on the highway. Go the turbo and get a good exaust. Old man's got an 80 series wagon with after market turbo, nothin fancy, no cooler or big exaust and it out performs my factory turbo 80 on the highway. It just doesn't have the torque down low like a factory one but with tweeking it will be better. Get it out there and get it dirty!
