Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I'm about to change my 4th pump. What normally craps out on them to make them leak? Is a kit easy enough to put through it.

I run 35's which I know probably doesn't help the cause. Any info would be great.

seal kit and the shaft normally ends up with a groove in it
