First question: Have you checked your brakes to ensure you have any meat on the shoes?
Have you tried adjusting the handbrake? Should be an adjuster on the cable.

my sierra is like this... but with drums in the rear and heavy tyres i cant expect it to hold that well anyway =) its safer to leave it in gear and wrench up the brake as hard as you can anyway - downfall is you cant do very good "hill starts" offroad =)

Regular visits to the gym to build up those handbrake yankers a bit more perhaps ?

i had this issue right up until a couple of days agov:P upon removal of the drum off the transfer it was half full of dirt and also no meat on the shoes. cleaned out the drum and all the parts, re assembled with new shoes. drove about a k with the hand brake on a click or 2 and now she holds better than i've ever had it. can pull it up and leave it on a steep drive way. and in the morning i can pop it out of gear without even pushing in the clutch because the handbrake hasn't slipped at all.
