where to mount airlocker switches and air compressor in a GU

i can't decide where to mount the switches and the compessor it's an ARB kit for just a front locker and the compressor is the big one with tyre inflation kit for a GU ute.

i have dual batts so it limits space for compressor under bonnet unless maybe you move something?, it gets really quite hot so i dont want it in the cab. i was thinking of going inside the arb bullbar but the elements are an issue.

as for the switches i want them on the LHS of the steering wheel easy to get to and not too far to look away from the track if on the move.

any pics, links, links to pics or explanations would be greatly appreciated

Are you fitting them, or getting ARB to do it?

I had front and rear lockers fitted to my GU iv by ARB. I asked for the sub tank switch to be relocated to below the electric antenna switch, which gave me 3 spots side by side below the ashtray to mount the switches. A little out of the way, cant be accidently turned on, but still within easy reach.
The compressor is mounted under the drivers seat. I was looking at, and expected them to mount it in the space, passenger side rear corner of engine bay, and was surprised to not find it there. Apparently, the vibrations and weight fatigues the brackets there. So thats where I mounted my winch controller, as I have 4 spotlights across the front.

I will be mounting my compressor and locker switches in the 3 spots on the center console onthe pasenger side. I will be getting the corect fitting switches from burson/autobarn instead of using the arb switches.
I would have thought in the engine bay on the passenger side behine the 2nd battery or in the back corner inside if you have a wagon would have been best.

Heres where I put mine.
I filed down the ends of the switches to fit them in , but I think it would of been better to file the slots the switches sit in

Mate I went through all this a few months ago, and honestly under the passenger seat is perfect!! There is plenty of room for airflow to keep it cool and it won't get covered in mud and dust like in the engine bay. I mounted my compressor switch to the left of the steering wheel, there is provision for two switches there. It suits me because I only want a front air locker with the rear lsd, but if you want 3 switches they won't fit there.

*Edit* here are some pics I just took, sorry I resized them a bit too small but you get the idea.

i also have a dx coil cab ute , i mounted my compressor under the bonnet behind the second battery ( done a few of these mounts now for mate ), and my switches i put on the right hand side of the steering wheel .. easy to get to and all switches are together , compressor has been under there for about 2 years now with no problems .
