Fuel sender for NG Pajero- please help!

G'day, I am having a 146L Long Ranger fuel tank fitted to my 1990 NG Pajero TDI next fortnight. Currently I have the stock 92 litre tank in it and my fuel gauge isn't very accurate at all. It will stay above 3/4 full for 250-300km and then by about 400km, it will read 1/4 full. I'd like to fix that so that my fuel guage is accurate and can be trusted when in remote locations. Since my tank is being removed anyway I am considering the idea of getting another fuel sender to replace this one. I have been quoted $196 for a genuine Mitsubishi one, but haven't yet checked with the local wreckers. My fuel gauge also has a warning light which has never worked. I'd like to fix this if possible... Should I A) spend up and get the genuine one, B) get one from the wreckers, or C) enquire about an aftermarket one such as this one: http://www.vdo.com/products_solutions/c ... ensors.htm
Any help would be greatly apprieciated!
