Am looking at getting a BJ40 late '79 with 4 speed.
Want to build a 15B and run a H55F 5 speed.

What i would like to know is can i use the bell housing and input shaft from the 4 speed and fit it to the 5 speed?

Cheers
Matt

Hasn't anyone put a 5 speed behind a 3B to replace there 4 speed?

bellhousing will work

the input shaft i'm not sure on, but you could use the 5 speed input shaft from the 5 speeds that came behind 3b's

Was told they were the same input shaft but thought some else may know for sure.

fairly certain its the same, might even be the same input shaft for the 1hz!

does the 15B have the same bellhousing or similar?

i vaguely remember hearing you need a clutch from a Dyna to make it work. Someone has done this before on this board.

Don't have the bellhousing from the 15B dyna.
It is a two piece set up.
Hoping i can use the bellhousing and starter from the B motor?
