Attention all AUTO sparys - Alternator Pulse wire install

Hi all, I have to wire a pulse wire from my Alternator. Has anyone done this before who could give me some info on it? or if theres any Auto sparkys on here could you tell me how to do it?
This is what im thinking at this stage. I need to solder a wire onto one of the coils before the diodes.......... am i on the right track???
My Alternator is off a TD42 and have a vacuum pump on the back of it as well.
P.S before anyone ask why.......... Its for my Gas system the inductive crankcase sensor does not give a strong enough pulse for the system to work off so you need a wire off the back of the alternator. Some Alternators come with the terminal already there and ready to pick up, however mine does not.
Cheers
