Toyota 80 series rear brakes

Hey guys,
I have a 94 model 80 series. Jusy want to know if any body has modified there rear brakes to suite 15 inch rims? If so what was the procedure?

void your insurance if you get caught but all you need is the backing plates of the early model as the caliper is the same just the backing plate that moves the caliper out

also forgot you need new rear discs and hand brake shoes

i had a set of 15inch sunnies, they also touched the front calipers, wouldnt recomend grinding your calippers down, my mate works at toyota, had a cruiser come with gound calippers to fit 15Iinch tyres n when they fitted new pads the wheels wouldnd go back on coz the calliper then stuck out further with full pad.s also is illegal.

That would be the rears.as frnt doesnt touch or slide, but rear does. Navara offset sunny rims get things pretty close to not touching with no mods apparently.

Why would you need to downgrade rim size mate?

The reason i was going to down size in rims was due to the cost of tyres. I usually find aprox $60 difference per tyre. between 15 and 16 inch in the same size. IE 33inch
