Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I've looked in the bible and searched but can't find the info. I have a bj73 and I also happen to have some rebuilt 60 series calipers lying around. Are the 60's and the 70's calipers the same. Both front axle items BTW.

Yes for the later models, unsure of the early 60's.

yeah not to sure what year the rebuilt calipers are off, might just have to have a go and hope they fit.

later model 75 have different piston sizes than the early ones...

i had a bit of a search and couldn't find much, all i found was the alloy calipers off a surf seem to be the pick of the bunch and that they fit on a 60 series. If my bj73 is an 85 model it shouldn't have the different pistons. So a 60 series and earlier 70 series should have the same calipers?

later models (zj) have 4x35mm, earlier have 2x35mm + 2x25mm. Not sure about the coil front models, probably 4x45mm.

Later model 70 calipers won't fit earlier model 70 or any 60. 106 model hilux are 4x35mm and will bolt onto early 60/70. V6runner and possible td surf are 4x45mm. 80s are 4x45mm but not compatible with early 60/70/106, POSSIBLY compatie with zj70 or coil front models??

(all the above is assuming all zj models had the smaller front diff???I)

I think all the zj models run 80 style nuckles and hence different caliper bolt pattern. I could be wrong though...
