Help please with power steer bleed.. ASAP..

Hi all, im finally stumped on something after years and many conversions.
i have nearly finished a hilux/ 80 series/ rock crawler ready for mudbulls. my problem is i cannot get the power steer to bleed properly.
What i have.. 85 hilux extracab.. 80 series power steer box (and diffs/ factory mounts, chev v6 from a speedboat, commodore power steer pump, hilux power steer lines.
What i have done... 80 Series power steer box mounted on chassis as usual (box is fine as i drove the doner vehicle home and sealed the box up with oil inside), commodore power steer pump on modified chev v6 mounts (pump is way above power steer box, lines are pointing downwards from pump), Std hilux power steer lines.
What i have checked..
Lines not above the pump, high pressure line and return line are the right way on the box, oil level, new oil, no debris in lines, box or pump, lifted diff off the ground and turned lock to lock slowly to bleed, checked seals and hoses for leaks, checked i had the right fluid/ oil.
What i think could be the problem..
Commodore pump is not working. Commodore pump does not have enough pressure (although it still should bleed), Thinking of cracking the fittings on the box just enough to let it bleed through them. I looked into the reservoir of the pump and i could see no air bubbles coming up, what i did see was the fluid/ oil rising and lowering with lock to lock about a inch..
The power steer is working, but with wizzle wazzle turning the steering wheel and me holding the 35 claw (while the whole lot is off the ground) he has to reef on the steering wheel to counteract me holding the tyre..
Any suggestions are welcome as we need this fixed before we leave for mudbulls on tuesday, i hope i have given you enough info to go from.
cheers mark.
