Well it's a while since i posted in this section.

Dare I say it I have a gq again, still have the 80 though.

I bought a part finished extra cab with the cab section completed but not painted. Before I send it down to have it completed at the panel shop (I know the guy that did the conversion and the panel shop ( that we also are freinds with) that was going to paint the cab)) who around Redcliffe way would be able to mod plate the conversion. Obviously this would need to be done while the welds are clearly seen.

I bought it because I need a project to work on, a bit of relaxation so to speak.

Otherwise I can get it to somewhere to have it approved. Ideally someone who knows a little about this type of conversion would be good.

I searched but I couldn't find anything (DOH)

Thanks

Why would they need to see the welds etc?
Its a full chassis car, you are not affecting the structural integrity at all.

I'll check, but we were under the impression they need to see the construction of the cab and view the welds, where it was welded etc. We even staggered the joints for more strength.

Good point though. I'll post up what I find out.
