They're good but you have to put a grunt engine and twinoverheadsuckmeoffs on straight away or else it'll roll over :finger:

Seriously would only be good for beach/ light fire trails and would have no aftermarket bits available.

I've only ever seen one in the bush and it got a lift home with RACQ from memory

I find it really hard to understand what the hell you are talking about sometimes. take a breath and type a bit slower.

As to are they any good, basically they are a Grand vitara but bigger so their approach, departure and ramp over angles are worse. i have seen a couple offroad and their only limiting factors were the angles I mentioned. they should be just as reliable as any Suzuki so generally pretty good. For light duty camping touring stuuf they will be fine but as a potential hardcore vehicle I wouldn't bother, alot of money to waste trying to turn one into a comp vehicle.

maybe he should get a snorkel, no wait a better idea, a mean bullbar and a port and polish that would make it a cool 4wd

No.

2xJimney's would be a better option.

If you've got 40K to burn and want something to take offroad i think you would be better to spend it on something with front and rear solid axels rather than an independent front end.

i.e. a patrol.

40k = 15k for a tough zook and 25k for a boat, mortgage, beer, hookers, chrome tuxedo :D

I've got one of those chrome tuxedos - and i should probably point out that you won't get much change from that 25K if you get one :?
