engine Coinversion

Post by the pajeee »

Hey Guy's i got a 1993 nh 3L Pajero and the rings are gone i was wondering if anyone has converted a 3L to a 2.8TD and what is involved, Ive always wanted a diesel over the petrol but im not sure if its hard to do the conversion. A mechanic would be installing it.

Cheers

mate you will need to change
fuel tank
fuel lines
computer
& thats just for starters what you will need to do is think is it going to be worth the $$$$$$ trying to do the swap or doing a rebuild.

True. A 3L motor won"t break the bank to re-build, I did a full re-build on my 3.5L Quad cam for a fraction over a Grand doing the work myself. They are much simpler to work on so shouldn't cost a lot on labour.
BTW, Jam those dirty diesles, they cost more to service and repair if you f#@k one.
