Hi all ive got a 97 rodeo in need of some new ball joints. I can do the top one on each sid but to do the bottom one you have to actually pull the cv out to get the ball joint out.
My question is to get the hub out there is 6 ellen key screws probly 8mm ellen key size but i cant get them undone, i thought maybe they could be reverse thread. There usually 12mm bolts on toyotas so if anyone can shed a bit of light i would much appreciate it
Cheers Ryan

They are standard thread bolts but are tight.
Put a big punch on the head and give it a good smack with a hammer

had a bit of trouble with mine as well, i ended up using a ellen key socket on a 3/8 bar made it alot easier. also give them a slight hit with a hamer before trying to undo the bolt.

i just took mine off, they were as stuck as buggery so i found the longest key i could, close to 8mm but it was imperial i think, then i closed a 12' shifter on the end and used that for leaverage, felt like i was going to snap the alen key but after i broke the seal all was good.
