Engineer approval for extended shackles and 35's?

I've read ALL the old posts about extended shackles, noting that a few have had them engineered in the past, in NSW, mostly about a year ago.
Is this still the case for NSW? I want my rig to be completely legal, but having 2" extended shackles would come in very handy.
Also, seems everyone runs 35 inch tyres, anyone had them engineer approved? If not the Hiluxs, what about the Cruiser boys?

with the 35`s it depends how wide they are ,35x12.5xR15 have got to be 15x8.25" rim and you`ve got to get the speedo corrected

Bzzzzz.... Wrong! Even if you give them a stat. dec. they won't accept that anymore. It has to be a certificate now from a calabration shop.

Thanks fellas. I'm in NSW just- lucky hey. Was thinking about 315/75/16 tyres cos I heard that 8' rim is acceptable but will investigate further.
Think I will find new engineer tho since my nearest one isn't very helpful.
Incidently if I do fit the biggies with long shackles will I get pinged when I drive in QLD?
