Was interested in others figures for 4.2 Diesel SWB Economy.
Mine : No Turbo, Stock Car with 31's
Busy Highway (60-100kmh) : About 11.7L/100km
Not sure about just city running.
Highway (100-120kmh) : 12.8L/100km
Highway Driving and also 2 hours offroad on weekend : about 12-13.5L/100km
Was interested to know others figures just for comparison.

Over the last 100K I have avg about 13lt/100km. Tyres where 31, 33 or 35's.
When 35's are on it get down to about 14-15lt/100km, gets worse with alot off off-road work.
Best I ever got was on 31's - 10.4lt/100km
shorty

When i went down to Nelson Bay and back from brissie, the round trip probably chewed 200L of diesel for around 2000 Kms. That included driving through the dunes at stockon beach and on the beach. The sand is alot softer down there. Driving to and from work i get around 500kms out a 65L tank with 33's on. Sure beats petrol

I assume "to a tank" means when the warning light comes on. I usually get somewhere between 600-700 before this happens

there is sometimes a lot of crap at the bottom of the tank diesel or petrol !
what you have probably heard was to always leave you diesel tank full to minimise condensation forming inside your tank .
