T-MAX wireless winch solenoid conversion

Has anyone had any experience with these?
Im gonna call up soon and find out the price
My original solenoid is busted, thinking of replacing it with this wireless remote one, just wondering if im making a good decision.

I am not familiar with the T-Max conversion you mention but it sounds to me like a kit to convert existing solenoid switches to wireless control rather than the usual remote cable control.
If this is the case then if one of your solenoids is busted this kit won't fix it.
Wireless control of a winch makes winching a lot easier and safer. Since I modified mine using a cheap controller off e-bay I find I seldom use the cord remote. And we find it makes sense for the winch buddy to control the winching as he can see the whole operation better than the driver including watching how it is spooling on the drum. The driver can keep both hands on the wheel and concentrate on keeping the wheels straight and matching engine revs to the winch speed to get max assistance from the wheels without spinning them.
There is nothing special about a wireless remote switch except for the price when bought from winch manufacturers. I even considered using a garage door opener or assembling a jaycar kit but the ebay one was only around $80 so I went with that and it works fine even after it floated out the door and downstream when my son drained the water out of the cockpit after he got stuck in a deep water hole. The only precaution I took was to wire it so that the wireless remote would not be active at the same time as the driver's in-cab cockpit control. Just a simple three position switch so that one or the other is active not both at the same time and with a central off so that the wireless remote is not activated when you sit on it by mistake when driving down the highway.

Well, to tell ya the truth i dont care either way wireless or remote cause i will have a switch in cab anyhow.
My main problem is i dont have a winch cause the solenoid is broken.
T-MAX just quoted me $400 for a replacement wireless solenoid setup!!!
Surely it can be fixed for less, with just a standard one.

just get a soloenoid off ebay heavy duty ones ,,,done and dusted,, ,

Good call, that slipped my mind, i been flat guts at work hey.
There is heaps, which one will suit my T-MAX 11,000 lb best?

the heavy duty ones are all the same , there is a bloke from NSW selling on ebay the solenoid ALAKA or something maybe you can pick up
