Explorer springs in DD Hilux

Just an idea, thinking of Explorer or Falcon rear springs for the rear of my Hilux.

I've noted that others have said they are very soft, was wondering if that cos they use long laid back shackles. I was hoping to retain a little load carrying ability. Could this be done by mounting the springs with a more conventional and upright shackle?

Ideally a soft ride without too much bodyroll is what I'm after.

i ran 58" long custom/falcon springs in the rear of my DD hilux, i also had superior shackles that sat back at about 30*, and it was still very driveable, and flexed well offroad. i could also carry i decent load, i saged down bout 1 or 2 inch with 4 35's plus all campin gear on back.

if ya interested i still have the springs, the main leaves are custom made with the eyes made to acceptr standard hilux bushes $60 pair plus freight
