hey guys,

about to perform the daunting task of changing the clutch on my patrol and i just thought i'd see how everyone else does it.

it'll be on a hoist and i don't have a gearbox jackso we were thinking undo everything then lower it onto a 44 gallon drum. should i remove the transfer case?

dont' want the thing to be apart for ages so thought i'd find out the easy way first :D

Thanks

its not that heavy, 2 people can lift it down.

If your worried an engine crane through the door and slung around the gearbox makes it easy.

I always drop the transfer first, even when i use a transmisson jack.

If you haven't got a transmission jack, you would be better off removing that transfer first,

you may have to turn/roll the gear box to one side to clear the bell housing on the tunnel.
