T-case lift Q's

Just wondering if anyone has used landrover engine mounts to replace and raise there sierra t-case mounts. I know you can use honda ones also but they look a little flimsy to me. Found these pics, apparently its quite a common swap oversea's.

Looks to be only about a 12mm lift, probably won't be much stronger as it's still just vulcanisation holding it all together.

I was thinking i could pack the top and bottom out a bit to capitalise
on the longer thread. Really i'am aiming for enough clearance to run a flat bash plate under the chassie rails and transfer. I have seen t-case lifts on e-bay recently for about $140, has anyone had any experiance with these ?

Just cruzin are your kits solid mount, as ive heard that solid mounting causes vibration.
Can you give me a rundown or some pics on your kit.

how do you go with t/fer case lift and roctoy rings. is there enough room.

I have a Roctoy ring fitted as well, 40mm is the maximum lift I could get without having to trim the ring. It's close but I haven't heard it hit yet and drive it pretty hard, being unlocked it's right foot all the way in comps.

No my mounts aren't solid as such, rather they are fully insulated from the chassis and arm. They are free to flex within the limits of the material, therefore won't transfer vibration. That said they have a full length crush tube so if installed correctly they are a fixed mount in the way that the bolt will have to break for the mount to fail. You don't rely on vulcanisation or the tensile strength of the material. All the stress in the polyurethane is compression and the tensile force is taken by the G8.8 bolts
