as far as im aware you will need to set up a pump to run it off the engine

so it want be a easy job just go electric winch easy as

if your engine not running the winch not running so can be a problem

but the pto hyd is 10 times as powerfull and does not drop its lunch underwater or after the motor overheats

i have been stuck plenty of times before i got my hydraulic pto in the water with engine running winch not
the hydraulic just keeps going and FAST

I don't know what it came out of or what's worth. I stripped it for the gears. I still have that part of the case though. It must run off the front gear on the passenger side of the input shaft of the transfer. I'll get photo's if ya want. It's just a standard hilux case but with a side access.

Here's a PTO

Look half way down the page. This guy has a PTO Transfer case. Not that he uses it.
