motor swap

hey boys im new to the rangie sceen
my quirie is if the 4.4L leyland p76 motor bolts directly in place of the original 3.5L carby job thats standard?????
ive heard its a strait swap but thought i'd ask to be safe???

Bolts in, but all ancillary brackets are different, headers are the same but higher and further apart due to higher deck height, PCD on the back of the crank is also different, have to use leyland inlet manifold or spacers to use rover one, again due to deck height

What Cloughy said plus a few other things like spigot is different, what water pump, dizzy and timing cover you going to run will also have an impact. But other than that, .. it's a bolt in job :rofl: :D

PS. The 4.4 engine number is on the block behind the rear of the passenger side head, and once installed it's almost impossible to read so make sure you record it somewhere before you fit the motor.
