toyota hilux 1996
im lookin at buyin a toyota hilux 1996 in prety good nick but every thing is stock its comin up on 250.000 but im gonna turn it in to a rather serious 4x4 rig but still use for every day efs 2 inch lift 31 in all terrain tires snorkal cab lift air compresser pretty much aLL the basic stuff got any ideas or tips as this is my first 4x4
whats your budget?
i have a 97 single cab bought it pretty stock besides a sagged suspension lift.
try and pick up a ute with less k's on it then that. and if you can something with abit of gear like a snorkel or bl.
2" suspension 2" body lift 33" tyres can be a weapon in the right hands.

1997 solid front axel hilux, big plans for it.
generally speaking the stocker it is the better condition its mechanicals will be in = less work.
but more you have to spend on parts and changing them = more work.
if looked after the engines are good for alot more than 250000 mine has just clicked over 313,000 and is turboed and tows carries loads etc regularly.
2 inch plus shifted diff forward is high enough for most stuff and clearing decent tyres. keeps weight low too.
