Hey all, a question for all the people in qld that have cut down their wagons into dual cabs or extra cabs. Did you have to complete a "body modification report" before you started your conversion?? I've never heard of it, I thought a mod plate was all that was needed but apparently the D.O.T said a mod plate is pretty much useless unless you've completed a body modification report before hand. Has anyone else heard of this??

your best off speaking to a mod plater about this. we have all had different experiences with mod platers and QT. i recently called 2 different platers and had one saying tac it all up and ill inspect what your doing and lay down some practice welds to make sure im good enough and that is all. i also had a mod plater say do the report and give him a call when i get the yes or the no from QT. and now the one i spoke to today said do what i want aslong as it is by a qualified welder using standard mounts.

It has been mod plated, trying to sell it and the D.O.T is saying that a modification report should have been done before hand and the rego can't be transferred until the report has been completed.
