what comps are you looking at entering?? id check with the organisers of those comps or go to some events and ask competitors.
i know that some people here have got "builders racks" joined to "side rails" and "side steps" joined to "bullbars" and have had them engineered.
have you used the search function??

well from what i know in nsw
technically and exo is not permitted
and a exo dose not count as a roll cage for CAMS OR CCDA it must be an internal cage i have looked into it as i`m building a car for OBC atm.

cheers

from what ive seen exos are legal in nsw as long as they can be rolled by a ball approx 15cm diameter. ie no part of the cage protrudes 7.5cm or more above any panel (based on my estimate of 15cm ball).

if you do a search (gods i sound like one of the search nazis) some of the posts ive read before had links to this documentation. worth a read.
