I know my Boss, paid $800, do get the Chassis on our Drill rig fixed, that was both Chassis rails cracked, and an Engineer to do it.
My Gq was Cracked there, and a mate welded it up for nothing, so far it has'nt cracked again

Cracks are very expensive to fix. especially in a patrol.
I will buy them both and save your boss and you a lot of money.

A cracked chassis is not expensive to fix , a comp rig does not need a engineering approval after the work is performed, we have been repairing heaps of torn and cracked GU chassis lately around the coil towers, approx cost is $450 .
Approx $150 for the brace kit and $300 labour ( depending on extent of the damage )
Anyone charging heaps to repair chassis is just ripping you blind!!

Do you do these brace kits before the chassis has cracked? What do they consist of? Im interested in bracing the rear end BEFORE it cracks.
cheers

hey Mick, on your website it says wagone need 2" body lift, is that just to be able to fit it? As in, could you unbolt the body and lift it, fit the brace then drop the body on its original mounts.

Aside from the triangle gussets down the side it is a copy of the ones I designed. You can fit it by just lifting the cab Mick.

This design you cannot fit in a wagon without a bodylift because the body sits lower than what the top coil hats does. ( it drops down in between)
This one is for the utes or wagon with a body lift.
Early in the new year or if we are lucky this december we will manufacture a bent up member that will fit a wagon without a body lift but a new tailpipe will need to be fitted as it will foul on the tail pipe.
Their is also a full gusset kit we sell that welds in around the coil towers to give additional bracing, so if your towers are not bent even the gusset kit will probably stop the towers bending.
I will try and take some photos of the gussets and post then in the next couple of days.
