hi, i just recently cut my troll up and whenever i flex, the rear diff only goes a certain distance then it just pulls itself straight at an incredible rate
eg, the front left climbs up a rock so the rear left stays on the ground as the car lifts away, then all of a sudden the rear left will come mach one to the normal position and its shit scary when the axle does that because its so quick, all this at ver very slow crawling speed

no....i think the problem is you have now removed the weight that was helping the vehicle flex in a correct and predictable manner. i'm tippin those 5 inch coils have a high spring rate too.

have all the linkages (panhard etc) been adjusted to suit the 5 inch lift?

i agree with weight thing - same goes on a zuk - the rear has no weight and because of that is a little twitchy...
try loading the back up with sandbags or fat friends and flex up and see if it still does it... if not, then youll have to lower the spring rate to get a more gradual transition.

As the other blokes have said your coils are probably too stiff now. You should go for a lighter coil.
Possibly consider less lift.

i read your post a few times. i'm sort of lost with it but my guess is maybe the tailshaft hitting on the chassis crossbar thingy. is the slip joint on your rear tailshaft up at your gearbox end?

ive done the tailshaft switch when it was a wagon,
i was thinking it was the springs but just needed a second oppinion before i went and got some ute rated coils
panhard suited for the lift and the longer arms are about to be put in,
thanks all

Are your springs retained?

i highly doubt its the springs, i run GQ wagon springs in my MWB gq ute, when we vuilt it, the rear end weighed in at 800kg's and we never had that problem
EDIT : my springs are also retained, so this should be more of an issue. but it isnt

wow, this is abit of a tuffie then,, would it be that yours wont do it as its shorter,,,,
now i think about it shorter w/b should do it more,
will my longer arms fix it?
thanks buddy
oh and no my coils arent retained
i was looking at the dobinsons 4" light duties set, but might do my arms first,,

actually, now i think a little bit about it,,
my shocks are a bit long in the front and i roll with the super flex setup(bolt from front arm) would it be the front pulling down as its not supposed to be that flexed out?
