hi all,

auto rev? anybody heard of such a device? i am aftr something, similar to a servo, that i can use 2 put pressure or pull on the throttle cable to give it a predefined RPM. i know that i can use the throttle lock, but i am after an electronic option for my tyre inflater that i am inventing. and then, at the flick of the switch, its on, revs are arounf 1800RPM, and then, when the switch is off, its back to normal.

anybody have any ideas????

cheers

Ima Diesel mechanic, and theres a couple ways the trucks i work on do it, sum do it thru the ecu, sum do it with a air solenoid and an adjustable bolt that is the bumpstop e.g. change bolt length= change rpms, and sum do it with electric stepper motors.
These are all setup for rpm advance for the hydraulic systems they use, some get very complicated too, with interlocks and cut outs, etc. But for your application i would b looking for a stepper motor, mayb able to adapt something from a r/c car.
